Event Details

• What: Manhigut 2024 (Leadership Training Overnight)

• Who: This overnight is open to 9th-12th graders; our teens join from across Northern California and synagogue membership is not required to attend.

• When: Sun, Sept. 1 at 2:00pm to Mon, Sept. 2 at 3:00pm. Teens should be dropped off; teens driving themselves will have their keys held.

• Where: Ma'alot Farms, a private and beautiful Jewish 16-acre farm in Los Gatos, CA (address provided after registration for safety).

Manhigut is a 25 hour leadership training experience for chapter board members (and any other teen that wants to join). If you're a leader in your synagogue, or are interested in becoming one, this is the overnight for you.

We'll cover a variety of leadership topics, including:

• community building

• program writing

• Ruach-leading

• talking to your community members and clergy

• creating innovative and inclusive spaces for all

• yearlong goal setting

• among other topics that will help you become a great leader in your community.

What does the registration cost cover?

It's our commitment to provide high-quality, high-value programming and an experience that you and your teens won't forget. 

• Meals: dinner Sunday, breakfast Monday and lunch Monday

• Accommodations: indoor or outdoor sleeping options available

• Programming materials, including significant custom physical and digital leadership materials

Health, Safety & Security

We are committed to having a safe and healthy event.

• This convention will be staffed by New Frontier regional staff and chapter staff members, all of whom complete background checks and attend training.

• We highly recommends full vaccination against COVID.
